Documentation

Set Aside is a fully covered, fixed-strike call-option contract for a Stock Token lot and USDG. This deployment is on Robinhood Chain public testnet with unbacked mock tokens.

TEST tokens have no monetary value. This contract is not a mainnet deployment or a production audit.

For sellers

Approve and deposit the exact Stock Token amount, then choose a total strike price in USDG, a premium in USDG and an expiry. The contract holds the complete lot. An open offer may be cancelled by its seller before purchase.

For buyers

The first buyer to pay the premium receives the right to exercise until expiry. The premium remains locked in the contract. Exercising transfers the stated total strike from buyer to seller and the covered lot from contract to buyer; the premium is also released to seller.

Expiry and corporate actions

Once expired, anyone can settle the option: the seller receives the lot and, if purchased, the premium. If the Stock Token's uiMultiplier changes before resolution, anyone can cancel instead. The lot returns to seller and any paid premium returns to buyer. This avoids silently repricing a changed token.

Material risks

A buyer may never appear, so no premium is assured. If exercised, a seller gives up upside above the strike. A buyer can lose the premium if they do not exercise before expiry. Premium and strike are not market prices; each participant sets or accepts them. Smart-contract bugs, wallet errors, token restrictions, issuer actions, quote-asset issues and network congestion can cause losses or delayed settlement. This code has not had an independent security audit.
